Jewelry Care

Each piece of jewelry I create is handcrafted with care using quality materials such as pearls, gemstones, and crystals. To keep your jewelry looking beautiful for years to come, I recommend the following:

  • Store your jewelry in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and humidity.
  • Keep each piece in its own soft pouch or jewelry box to prevent scratches.
  • Avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, and hairsprays, as these can dull the finish.
  • Remove your jewelry before swimming, bathing, or exercising.
  • To clean, gently wipe with a soft, lint-free cloth — never use harsh chemicals or commercial cleaners.

With simple care, your jewelry will maintain its original beauty and remain a cherished part of your collection for years to come.

 

Placing an Order

When you find a piece you love, you’ll see two options: Purchase This Design or Customize This Design.

Both buttons take you directly to my Etsy shop, where you can complete your order securely. Etsy protects every transaction through its trusted payment system and Buyer Protection policies, giving you complete confidence in your purchase.

If you’d like a custom variation, simply choose Customize This Design and include your details during checkout. I’ll follow up personally to confirm your design and materials before your piece is created.

 

Custom Jewelry Orders

Sometimes the perfect piece doesn’t already exist — it’s waiting to be designed just for you.

All of my jewelry is handcrafted in my Bergen County, NJ studio, and I’m happy to create custom designs that reflect your personal style, color preferences, or a meaningful occasion. Whether you’re looking for a special bracelet, a custom necklace set, or elegant wedding jewelry, I’ll work with you to design something one of a kind.

How It Works

  • Start the Conversation: Call or text 201.753.1677 or send me a message through my Etsy shop to discuss your ideas.
  • Design Consultation: We’ll talk about materials, colors, metal finishes, and your overall vision. You’re welcome to reference existing designs for inspiration.
  • Creation: Once details are confirmed, I’ll handcraft your piece in my studio using quality materials such as gemstones, pearls, crystals, and sterling silver.
  • Delivery: Most custom designs are completed within 3–4 weeks, depending on materials and scheduling. If your order can be finished sooner, I’ll be sure to let you know.

Custom Work You Can Request

  • Matching earrings, bracelets, or necklaces for a favorite piece.
  • Custom color combinations or alternate gemstones.
  • Elegant wedding jewelry sets for brides, bridesmaids, or mothers of the bride/groom.
  • Personalized gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, or special milestones.

Every custom order is treated with the same level of attention and care as my regular designs. I take pride in creating meaningful, wearable art — handcrafted just for you and never duplicated.

 

Shipping

All orders are shipped from my Bergen County, NJ studio within 1–3 business days using USPS Ground Advantage. Necklace Sets ship via USPS Priority Mail for faster delivery and added protection — that upgrade is on me.

Local to Bergen County and prefer to pick up your order? I’m happy to arrange that.

Returns and Refunds

Because each piece is handcrafted and made to order, returns and refunds are not accepted unless your item arrives visibly damaged. If this happens, please contact me right away and include clear photos showing:

  • The shipping package with visible damage, and
  • The item itself showing the damage.

Once those photos are received, I’ll work with you promptly to repair, replace, or refund your order as appropriate.

Please note that jewelry cannot be returned after being worn or used. I do not accept returns due to buyer’s remorse or change of mind. My photos clearly and accurately represent each piece, so you can shop with confidence knowing exactly what you’ll receive. Each design is made by hand, and I stand by the quality and craftsmanship of my work.

 

Repairs and Breakages

Life happens — bracelets can snag or get pulled, and occasionally a piece may break. If this happens, I’m happy to repair your jewelry.

Please send the item back to me at your expense, packaged securely the same way it was shipped to you — via USPS Ground Advantage or Priority Mail. Include as many of the original pieces or components as you can.

Once I receive your package, I’ll make the repair and return it to you promptly.
Please note that necklace breakages are extremely rare, but the same repair process applies if needed.

 

Wholesale

All jewelry is handcrafted and sold exclusively through Maureen McCullough Creations. I do not offer wholesale or bulk pricing.
